#2 - Japanese music

In the previous post I noticed that I'm a fan of Japanese culture and J-Pop. Now I'd like to continue and to publish here the list of my music library. It's not completely Japanese though (I'm lazy to sort it by artists' countries). British, Turkish, German and Romanian artists are included.

And, yes, point system (Vocal, background music, appearence) and short summary are included for recommended artists.

You can find the complete list in the end of the post

Update: Music Library on-line

Recommended

  • Altima - You may know them from the anime series, such as "Accel World" and "Shakugan no Shana". And despide 4/10 for their appearance, Motsu is really great. [Vocal: 6/10; Music: 8/10; Appearance: 4/10]
  • ALI Project - "Code Geass", ".hack//Roots", "Avenger" and more. They've been on the stage since 1988. Aristocrat-style appearance. [Vocal: 8/10; Music: 9/10; Appearance: 10/10]
  • Hitomi Kuroishi - I don't know much about her, but "Continued Story" track is definitely worth listening. You can find it in "Code Geass R2 OST". There's also a live-performing video on YouTube. [Vocal: 9/10; Music: 8/10; Appearance: 3/10]
  • EGOIST/supercell - If you ever have watched "Guilty Crown"/"Psycho Pass"/"MAGI: Labyrinth of Magic" anime series and liked the OP/ED music, then you MUST know this artist. But, anyway, the fact is this band is unique in some way: the band has the only leader, Ryo, and consist of 10 illustrators and 2 vocalists (15 and 17 y.o., actually). It doesn't have any official members that "make da music". Instrumental artists I mean.
    [Vocal: 5/10; Music: 10/10; Appearance: 6/10]
  • Haruna Luna - Known for OP/ED music for such series, as "Fate/Zero" and "Sword Art Online". IMO: she really does well, the only problem is how she acts on the stage - like an amateur that has never been on the stage before. [Vocal: 9/10; Music: 10/10; Appearance: 7/10]
  • Hatsune Miku - Even though she's not a human, she has a good voice. Anyway, I just liked the "supercell ft. Hatsune Miku" album, especially because of music. She's cute, but.. nevertheless she's just a hologram. [Vocal: 6/10; Music: 10/10; Appearance: 7/10]
  • Hayashi Yuuzou - A Japanese composer. I know nearly nothing about him. He's composed OST for "Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo" where the best composition [IMO] is "Mata Ashita".  [Vocal: ?/10; Music: 10/10; Appearance: ?/10]
  • Hosoya Yoshimasa - Seiyuu (Voice Actor) and a singer.  He appeared in titles as "No. 6", "MAGI: The Labyrinth of Magic", "Robotic Notes", "Ixion Saga DT" and "A Town Where you Live"/"Kimi no Iru Machi". His only single is an ED for "Kimi no Iru Machi" anime TV series launched this summer. [Vocal: 8/10; Music: 8/10; Appearance: ?/10]
  • Itou Kanako - She has sang OP/ED songs Chaos;Head" and "Steins;Gate" series by 5pb & Nitro+ and "School Days" anime titles. Actually, I disliked video and live-stage performance, but music and vocal are pretty good. [Vocal: 7/10; Music: 6/10; Appearance: 2/10]
  • Kalafina - I can say they are classic, though they've been on the stage for just 6 years. "Black Butler", "Fate/Zero", "Puella Magi Madoka Magica", "Kara no Kyoukai". So far they've released 4 albums and 12 singles. Not a lot, but here their performing style comes up. [Vocal: 10/10; Music: 10/10; Appearance: 10/10]
  • Kiyoura Natsumi - "Spice and Wolf" and "Phi Brain: Puzzle of God". I especially liked the "SaW" OP theme. [Vocal: 10/10; Music: 9/10; Appearance: ?/10]
  • KOKIA - She has 11 albums and 27 singles for 15 years of stage-singing. That's a lot you'll say. And it may sound odd, but I like her for only one song - "Fate" ("Broken Blade" anime movie series). [Vocal: 11/10 (Yes, that's 11. Her voice is really great); Music: 10/10; Appearance: 7/10]
  • Kosaka Riyu - She's sung theme songs for "Claymore" and "Mokke" anime TV series. Good voice, good music, good performance in "Danzai no Sora" clip. [Vocal: 9/10; Music: 9/10; Appearance: 7/10]
  • LiSA - "Fate/Zero", "Sword Art Online", "Angel Beats". At least theme for the first title is worth listening. [Vocal: 7/10; Music: 7/10; Appearance: 5/10]
  • Ookura Asuka - Well, she's as old as I am. But, actually, she has only sung ED song for "Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo" anime TV series. Both song and anime are worth watching/listening.  [Vocal: 6/10; Music: 7/10; Appearance: ?/10]
  • Sakamoto Maaya - they have a lot common with Hosoya Yoshimasa - both of them are voice actors at first, though they are very good singers as well. Maaya has performed ED theme for "Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito" OVA series.  [Vocal: 8/10; Music: 7/10; Appearance: ?/10]
  • SunSet Swish - Theme songs for "Code Geass" and "Bleach", very good studio albums. [Vocal: 8/10; Music: 7/10; Appearance: 7/10]
  • TOKIO - Formed in 1994. Their vocalist, Tomoya Nagase, has acted in "Tiger & Dragon" and "My Boss, My Hero" TV series and in "Heaven't Door" movie. Both music and TV series/Movie are really worth listening/watching.

So far.
Well, this is all. I can also recommend "Zetsuen no Tempest" OST music and "Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra" band which I haven't mentioned before.
